Annelise L. Brangs, 83 peacefully passed into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior Friday, March 16, 2018. She retired after 20 years of service from Parks-Belk at the Plaza and then was employed in the Business Office at Walters State Community College for over 15 years. She was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and faithfully attended Witt Baptist Church, going to both churches every Sunday that she could until health issues kept her from doing so. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and thoughtful friend who was cherished by many and will be deeply missed. She was an ardent follower of the Reverend Billy Graham and his ministry. We are reminded during this time of the wonderful quote recently attributed to Rev. Graham at the time of his death. “Someday you will read or hear the Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall more be alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.”
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Wolfgang F. “Fred” Brangs; parents, Ludwig and Elisabeth Laudon; brother, Karl Ludwig Laudon; and sister, Margret Timmermann.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie (Chris) Cutshaw and son, Ralph “Rob” (Lilliam) Brangs; grandchildren, Keighley Collins, Courteney Collins, Anthony Brangs, and Rachel Cutshaw; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 6:00 p.m. Sunday March 18, 2018 at Witt Baptist Church with the Pastor Doug Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 in Bethesda Cemetery, Morristown. Those wishing to take part in the processional to the Cemetery are invited to meet at Allen Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m.
