Betty Lou Smith

Betty L. Moore Smith, 81, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home with her family by her side Wednesday, December 20, 2017.  She was a member of Edwards Chapel United Methodist Church in White Pine. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Curtis Smith; daughter, Kim Smith; parents, Albert and Lona Moore; siblings, Milton and Mary Ruth Moore.  
She is survived by her son, Chris (Kathy) Smith; grandchildren; Christina Smith and Michael Long; great-grandchildren, Mason, Jace, Rylan, Makenzy and Matthew; brother, Jimmy Moore; sister, Dorothy (J.C.) Dearing, Jean (Mike) Spangler and Joyce (Al) West; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Interim Health Care and Avalon Hospice for their wonderful care.
The family will receive friends 1:00 -3:00 pm Saturday, December 23, 2017 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 3:00 with Reverend Bobby Kitts officiating.  Entombment services will be follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
