David William Jarnagin

David William Jarnagin, 74, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Signature Health Care Facility in Greeneville where he had made his home for the past seven years.  He retired from Hickory Springs after 12 years of service.   David is preceded in death by his father, Murphy Jarnagin; mother, Dorthy Susong Wilder; two sisters, Ida Mae Gulley and Christina Jarnagin and a brother, Robert Jarnagin.

He is survived by his children, Michael Jarnagin, Kim Jarnagin, Melissa Jarnagin and Sara Jarnagin; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as the mothers of his children, Linda, Gail and Debora.  He is also survived by two brothers, Bill (Barbara) Jarnagin, Dan (Lisa)Jarnagin; sisters, Mary (Ronald) Ragan and Grace (C.E.) Turner with whom he made his home with until 24hour nursing care was necessary; special friend Debora Shipley and “foster” daughter, Debora Corbin; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and special cousin, Betty Susong. 

The family would like to thank all his friends at Signature Healthcare for taking such good care of David for the last seven years.  Because of you, David had a happier life.  God Bless all of you.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 2, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Bulard officiating.   Interment will follow in Bent Creek Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be C.E. Turner, C.E. Turner Jr., Carroll Turner, William Turner, Charles Ragan and Don Jarnagin.
