Donald Duane Bewley

Donald Duane Bewley, born March 19, 1940, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017.  He was saved at Russellville Church of God and attended Robertson Creek Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lona Bewley; sister, Louise Walker; brothers, R C. Lipton and Reverend R. B. Bewley; brothers-in-law, Olin Johnson, Lawrence Walker and Paul Jones and sister-in-law, Charmie Bewley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Peggy Boyd Bewley and his two beloved fur babies, Maxie and Ro-Ho; brothers, Bob Bewley, Jackie (Sue) Bewley, and J. R. (Becky) Bewley; sisters, Betty Jones and Patsy (Larry) Walker; sister-in-law, Lorene Bewley; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Don worked in North Carolina and Tennessee for many years making and designing furniture.  He was currently employed at Sexton’s furniture.  Don was an avid golfer and loved playing golf every chance he got.  He was a gentle soul and was loved by everyone who knew him.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in the West Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00pm with Reverends Jonathon Bewley and Richard Long officiating.  Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
