Edward Mekins Sr., 79, passed away in his sleep at home on Wednesday, February 21st, 2018 in Bulls Gap, Tennessee. He was born May 5th, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a volunteer fireman in the state of Maryland.

He is survived by his second wife Ruth; his two sons, Edward Mekins Jr., and Richard Mekins, his two daughters, Linora Smith, and Loretta Willhite; seven grandchildren, and six great- grandchildren.
