James Logan Mathes

James Logan Mathes, 53 of Mohawk, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 14, 2018.  He was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.  He worked as a machinist for Custom Machine and Tool in Morristown.  He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby G. Mathes, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Mathes; brother and sisters, Marsha (Jerry) Sexton; Bobby G. (Kasandra) Mathes Jr., Michelle (Chris) Wilhoit and Melanie (Brad) Shultz; special aunts Bessie Lowery and Jackie Cox; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 3:00 with Reverend Scott Ingram officiating.  Interment will be Sunday, March 18 at 2:00 pm at Phillipi Cemetery in Mosheim.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Mathes, Luke Wilhoit, Daniel Wilhoit, Mitchell Shultz, Matt Sexton and Logan Mathes.  Honorary pallbearers will be all of his coworkers at Custom Machine &Tool.

Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
