Margaret Robertson

Margaret E. Robertson, 87, of Russellville, left her loved ones for a Valentines homecoming with the Lord Feb. 13, 2018.  She was saved at a young age, walking to church in Middlesboro, KY.  She was a special person with a quick wit and a fiery spirit.  Margaret was loved by many and will be truly missed by those that knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 10 years, Austin G. “Johnny” Robertson; parents Ether and Rosa Kate Hill; brothers Ether C. Hill Jr. and Estel Hill; sister Elizabeth Rowlett; and daughter-in-law Tammy Dawn Watts McKay.

Margaret leaves behind to carry on her loving spirit sons Henry Hamilton Givens Jr. (Shirley) and Freddie N. McKay; daughter Linnie E. Robertson; 7 cherished grandchildren Todd Givens, Amanda Cook, Kelsey LaShae McKay Reed (Daniel), Erick Zion Bon Blade McKay, Jada LeAnn McKay, Caden Cole Elijah Hawk McKay; and Kevin Landers (Kristale); 3 great grandchildren who were the light of her life Tyler Preston Reed, Kristopher  Tyler Cade Landers, and Austin Cook; several nieces and nephews; her special four-legged companions Snuggles; Tippy; Papa Toby…and A host of special friends that she has enjoyed like the birds and butterflies throughout her blessed life. 

The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, in the east chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Franklin D. Wine officiating.  Entombment services will be 1 pm Sunday in Hamblen Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
