Mary Ruth Helton

Mary Ruth Helton, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at her home in Morristown.  She was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Shelby Williams and loved to attend car shows.  She was preceded by her husband, Glen “Buck” Helton; daughter-in-law Velma Helton; parents, Dillard and Zora Standifer; seven brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her children; Glenda (Ron) Rogers, Larry Helton; grandchildren,  Michelle (Clay) Eldridge, Traci (Bill) Johnston, Cortney (Eliazar) Hidrogo; great-grandchildren, Chelsey (Michael) Kochan, Amanda Eldridge, Caden Eldridge, Wyatt Johnston, Sadie Johnston, Benjamin Hidrogo; great-great-grandchildren, Adalynn Eldridge and Baylor Kochan; brother, Ralph Standifer and sister Inez Harris as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 7:00 pm Saturday, April 22, 2017 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00 with Reverend Lynda Smith presiding.  Graveside services are planned for 1:00 pm Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
