Myrtle Lou (Dyer) Evans

Myrtle Lou (Dyer) Evans, 95, passed away November 22, 2017.  She was a faithful member of Mountain Valley Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by her husband, George G. Evans; parents, T.J. and Mary (Wright) Dyer; son-in-law, Gail Estes; brothers, Hubert, George, Ellis, Joe, Clarence, Jacob, L.V., Henry and Onnie Dyer; sisters, Pearly Rush, Bertha Livingston, Syble Brooks, Carrie Mae Barnett, Elsie Bryant, Hazel Cobb and Aileen Owens; granddaughter-in-law, Patricia Estes; special “adopted” angel, Shirley Weiss.

She is survived by daughter, Irene Estes; grandchildren, Raymond (Beverly) Estes and Eugenia Estes; great-grandchildren, Allen Estes and Ashley Estes; great-great-granddaughter, Lily Estes; several nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbors. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Stevie Owens and Carolyn Bunch as well as Amedisys Home Health and Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday, November 26, 2017 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services are planned for 2:00 pm Monday, November 27, 2017 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home with Reverends Ronald Bunch and Dwain Brewer officiating.  Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
