Reverend Arthur Oliver Harris, 90, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at his home in Wellford, SC. He served in the U S Army and was a WWII Veteran. He retired from Fisher Oil Company after 20 years of service. He was pastor of the United Church of the Lord Jesus Christ for 40 years. Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie Harris and son, Gary B. Harris.
He is survived by his son, James (Kimberly Thomason) Harris; six grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday, July 23, 2017 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00. Military graveside service and interment will be 11:00 am Monday, July 24, 2017 in United Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery.
