Richard Allen Obituary

Richard L. Allen, 66, of Morristown, passed from this place into God’s arms Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his home. He was a devoted father and husband. He loved spending time with his family, listening to music and picking at his guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents, William D. and Marietta Allen.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Peggy Allen; son, William D. Allen and fiancée, Desiree Morin; daughter, Lauren Allen Patterson; brother, Edward (Brenda) Allen; nephew, Chris Allen and niece, Jessica (Kelvin) Carr; special longtime friend, Lanny Jackson; as well as several cousins.

Private services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in the east chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Flowers are welcome or donations may also be made to Allen Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral costs.

Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
