Ronnie Joe Brooks

Ronnie Joe Brooks, 58, of Morristown, died suddenly at his home Sunday, July 2, 2017, of natural causes. Ronnie was a man of few words but people who knew him, knew him to be a kind and generous man who loved the Lord, loved his church and loved his family. Ronnie was devoted to his wife, Denise, of nearly 25 years and to his son, Joey, with whom he shared a love of fishing, camping and hunting. Ronnie was a volunteer with the Rescue Squad in Morristown for over 12 years, where he was fondly known as “Round Man”. He worked at Misenheimer Saw & Tool for almost 40 years as a skilled machinist. Ronnie was an Ordained Deacon and long-time member of Kingswood Primitive Baptist Church in Morristown. 

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Denise (Moore), his son, Joey, his little sister, Lisa and her husband, Malcolm Ayers. He was preceded in death by his dad, Dana Paul Brooks, and mother, Mary Jane Brooks, grandparents Ralph and Ethel Brooks, Frank and Grace Belcher. 

Services will be held at Allen Funeral Home in Morristown on Thursday, July 6, at 8 p.m. with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be Friday, July 7, at Hamblen Memory Gardens at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family are welcome to make contributions to a Memorial Fund that has been set up for the family at Suntrust Bank.
