Amanda "Marie" (Shannon) Dalton

Amanda “Marie” Dalton, 86, of Morristown, stepped into heaven on Thursday, November 8, 2018.   She was a 75year member of Fairfield Baptist Church serving many years as Sunday School teacher to both children and the Senior Adult Women’s class. She also sang in the choir and loved working in the kitchen during VBS.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Dalton and parents, William A. and Paralee Long Shannon.   

Marie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Regina and David Countess; brother and sister-in-law, Hubert and Geraldine Shannon; grandson and wife, Bryan and Julie Countess; several other brother and sisters-in-laws; nieces, nephews; special niece and her husband, Renee and Mark Simmons; extended family member, Shannon Collins.

The family will receive friends, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018 in the sanctuary of Fairfield Baptist Church prior to the funeral service at 7:00p.m. with Reverends Richard Snowden and Scott Helton officiating.  Graveside services are planned for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018 in Historic Bethesda Cemetery.
