Bertha Tate Obituary

Bertha Lee Tate, 93, of Bean Station, passed away on April 26, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.  She attended Riverview Baptist Church.  She was best known for the way she loved her family and friends.   Bertha was preceded in death by her husband O. D. Tate; parents, Mollie and Fitzhugh Daniel; brother, Robert (Effie) Daniel; sisters, Frankie (George) Tate and Mollie (Delmar) Simmons and brother-in-law Max Walton.

Bertha is survived by her daughter, Shirlene (Jim) Davis; sisters, Sarah Walton and Charlise (Dwayne) Seal; grandson, Eric (Tina) Davis; granddaughter, Sabrina (Joey) Coffey; great-grandchildren, Cody and Makenzie Coffey, Brittany, Hunter, Savannah and Erica Davis; step-grandchildren, Travis and Peyton Barner and other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday, April 28, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00 with Reverend Scott Howerton officiating.  Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Monday, April 29, 2019 in Riverview Baptist Church Cemetery.
