Clara Maxine "Max" (Williams) Yount

Clara Maxine “Max” Williams Yount, 85, of Hamblen County, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at home with her family by her side.  Max was born August 25, 1932 in Treadway, Hancock County, TN and one of six children born to George Marion and Grace Yount Williams.   She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and joined Cool Branch Baptist Church; later moving her letter to Calvary Baptist Church in Morristown.  She was an interesting and vibrant person.  Her passion was flowers and loved spending time in the garden.

Her beloved husband, William Anderson “Billy” Yount, preceded her in death by 25 years.  She is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Junior Ralph “June” Williams, George Harvey Williams, Delmas Lee Williams; sisters-in-law, Grace Yount (Woodrow) Johnson, Martha Yount (Martin) Vaughn, Hester Yount (Kyle) Drinnon, Vina Yount, Vandalee Mullins Williams and brother-in-law, James Thomas “Bogey” Lewis.

She is survived by four daughters, Karen (Tom) Hedrick, Sharon (Tony) Sellars, Kathy (Terry) Bush and Donna (Mike) Saulsburry; grandchildren, Beth (Kandy) Braswell, Laura (Jim) Miller, John Trolinger, Lindsey Sellars (Joe) Wilson, Kelly Bush (Dustin) Blazer, Rachel (Melanie) Saulsburry, and Chaz (Abby) Saulsburry; great-grandchildren, Karie Braswell; Sam, Sagan, and Bella Miller; Keelie and Aiden Sunderland; Avery and Myles Blazer; and Isaiah, Eli, and Jonah Saulsburry.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00 with Dr. Larry Parrott officiating.  Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
