Danny Ray Stapleton

Danny Ray Stapleton, 75, of Morristown, TN, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Juanita Wester and his sister Kay Allen. 

He is survived by, his wife, Patricia Bireley Stapleton; son, David Stapleton; daughter, LeaAnn (Gary) Holt; grandson, Andrew Swann; sister Joyce (L.C.) Taylor; and brother-in-law, Ron Allen.  

Danny was born on December 11, 1943.  He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Cherokee Heights Baptist Church.  He was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather.  

The family would like to give a special thanks to Linda Debord, Tom Ford, and Steve Davis for all of their help during this difficult time, and would like to commend Amedysis Hospice for the loving care and support their staff provided during Danny’s final days.  

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Thursday, May 9, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow the visitation with the Reverend Ken Cole and Pastor Justin Self officiating. Interment will be 11am, Friday, May 10, 2019 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers are Dan Cox, Ernie Noe, Jason Noe, Joey Fullington, Ron Allen, and Tom Ford.  Honorary pallbearers are Gary Epps and Steve Davis.
