Deborah Holmes Palmer, 66, recently of Morristown, TN, went home be with her Lord on Friday, December 7, 2018. During her lifetime she expressed her faith through the support of numerous local churches including: First United Methodist (Morristown, TN), Community Chapel (Nashua, NH), Bedford Baptist (Merrimack, NH), Main Street United Methodist (Nashua, NH), and Moscow United Methodist (Moscow PA). Among others, she was involved in Sunday School, Adult Choir, VBS, and Social and Senior Activities. Her talent for catching and training feral kittens was legendary.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland she was raised in Moscow PA. Preceded in death by her parents Earl Holmes (Arkansas), and Linda Mobley (Towanda PA).
She is survived by her husband Scott Palmer (Rochester, NY) and loving family including her sister Nora Holmes Bromberg and half-brother Edward Holmes (Tuscon, AZ), three nieces: Rebecca Bromberg Burgett (Corryton, TN), Nicole Bromberg Sedgwick (Granbury, TX), and Jessica Bromberg Pope - her Godchild (Lakeland FL), and seven great nieces and nephews including: Gabriel, Jacob, Ezekiel, Ezra, Zaeda, Zachary, and Ziva.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at First United Methodist Church. The memorial service will start at 2pm officiated by Pastors Walter Weikel and Wayne Bromberg (brother-in-law). Graveside services will be held in Towanda, PA at a later date.
