Dorothy Louise "LuLu" (Long) Riley

Dorothy Louise “LuLu” Riley, 89, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019.  She was a member of Robertson Creek Baptist Church and was retired from U.S. Postal Service as Postmaster at Whitesburg with 32 years of service.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jay W. Riley; daughter Jean Riley Trent; parents, Lizzie Tomlinson and Rankin Long, Sr.; stepmother, Martha Jane Long; brother Rankin Long, Jr. and Michael Long; son-in-law, Bruce Trent.

She is survived by her children, Jim (Judy) Riley, Susie (Martin) Stanley; sister, Nellie Loveday; grandchildren, Theresa Young, Dusty (Lindsey) Riley, Jason (Sherrie) Cook, Jonas Cook; great-grandchildren, Keeton and Khloee Riley, Klein and Jacob Cook.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the employees and staff at Durham-Hensley Nursing Home, and a big “Thank You” to Sherrie Martin.

Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Riley Cemetery in Mohawk with the Reverend Scott Farmer, and Howard “Johnny” Shipley officiating.

Allen Funeral Home, Morristown, is in charge of services.
