Eula Christine Cody

On January 3rd, 2018 Eula Christine “Chris” Cody moved into her heavenly home.  She was born in Corbin, KY and grew up in Harlan County, KY. She later moved to Dayton, OH where she met the love of her life Lester Glynn Cody at West Moraine Baptist Church.  They married two months later on April 16th and were inseparable for 63 years.  They moved to Morristown in 1973 and opened the Pizza Cottage in 1974.  They built it into a successful business and touched many lives before retiring in 1996.  They were blessed with three children, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.  She loved the Lord and loved singing His praises all her life.  She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her grandson Alex Cody; parents Walter and Dixie Faulkner; brothers Burton and Larry; and sisters Thelma and Lucille. 

She is survived by her loving husband Glynn Cody; children, Mike and Angie Cody of Cheraw, SC, Tim and Charlene Cody of Morristown, and Tim and Andrea Jarnagin of Morristown; grandchildren, Gabe and Jennifer Cody of Huntsville, AL, Marcelo and Joy Albuquerque of Denver, CO, and Amanda Pressley of Morristown; great-grandchildren Korbin, Presley, and Camryn Cody; Gracie, Molly, and Sophie Pressley; sisters Ethel Langford, Dick and Midge Walker, Joan Faulkner, Sue Croley, Ron and Jimmie Spitler, and Judy Eaton; brothers Del and Roz Faulkner, and Bernard and Janice Cody; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 3-6pm, Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow the visitation, with Reverend Donnie Myers officiating.  Interment will be 12pm, Sunday, January 7th in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
