Floyd “Bruce” Harville, 88, of Morristown passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Systems, after a lengthy illness. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired from both American Enka/BASF and the Hamblen County Highway Department. He loved to farm, raise dogs, and, especially, spend time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rena Faye “Ren” Harville McDowell; sisters, Belle Gilliam and Alma Gratz; and brothers, Arther and Grover Harville.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Rena "Sue" Graves Harville; son, Floyd (Jenny) Harville; granddaughters, Leah (Stan) Franczek, Brooke (Mason) Fishburn, Jessica McDowell Wells; great grandchildren, Grace Wells, Ethan Wells, McKinzie Fishburn, Carson Fishburn, Masie Fishburn, and Mela Fishburn; special nephew, Joe (Susan) Gratz; as well as several other nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Horner and Home Health for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Bruce and his family.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Saturday, May 4, 2019, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 7pm with the Reverend Richard Long and Dr. Shane Johnston officiating. Interment will be 2pm, Sunday, May 5, 2019 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
