Gloria Movita Murphy

Gloria M. “Tootie” Murphy 64, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 14, 2019.  She was a member of Holt’s Missionary Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Evelyn Murphy; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Edith Murphy; brothers-in-law, Ben and LeRoy Murphy.

Survivors include her husband of 40years, David Murphy; sons, Todd (Veronica) Hodges; Jason (Elizabeth) Murphy; grandchildren, Reagan Hodges; Jayden and Jasmine Murphy; sister, Virginia (Richard) Ballew; brother, Ellis Murphy; brother-in-law Jimmy (Barb) Murphy, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, May 17, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00 with Ken Cole and Marty Shelton officiating.  Graveside services are planned for 11:00 am Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Cedar Creek Cemetery.
