Harold “Gomer” Ellison, 83, of Bean Station, born March 15, 1936 in Hamblen County, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 28, 2019. He was a member of Adriel Baptist Church and attended Highland Baptist Church. He worked for the Kayo Gas Company for many years and retired from American Enka/BASF/ Lensing Fibers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Clydia Ellison; brothers, Willard, Virgil and Emerson; sisters, Imogene and Joan; and great-grandson Caden Robinson.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years Linda Ellison; daughters, Tammy (Ricky) Brewer, Lisa (Clarence) Hutton; and Linda Elizabeth Williams Ellison; step daughter, Scarlett (William) Beatty; grandchildren, Micah-Shane Brewer, Afton (Barkley) Robinson, Erryn (Logan) Horne, Mylan Brewer, Terence (Jennifer) Hutton, and Hannah Beatty; great grandchildren, Hampton and Brynlee Hutton, Gaven, Seth, and Myles Robinson, and Sadie and Aiden Horne; brothers, Gerald (Gerri) Ellison and Wayne (Brenda) Ellison; sister, Delores Steele; Sister-in-laws, Shirley Gulley and Brenda Williams; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Friday, May 3, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 7pm with the reverends Terry Bunch and Tim Collins officiating. Interment will be 11am, Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Historic Bethesda Cemetery.
