James Junior Seal

James Junior Seal, born April 2, 1940 peacefully departed this world to join our Lord and Savior on April 20, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a member of New Hope Gospel Church.  He was a loyal employee of Berkline for 40 years and an avid antique collector.  A loving husband and dearly loved by family and friends.   He was preceded in death by his father, Dana B. Seal and mother, Lillie Jarvis Seal; brothers, Ulys and Homer Seal and Ralph Trent; sisters, Edna Topper and Peggy Seal of Sneedville; father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Lucille Long.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Ester Seal; special sister, Hazel Greene of Sneedville; brothers, Don and Bill Seal and sisters, Barbara Peregoy and Grace Strines; special nieces, Priscilla Mills and Patricia Reed; special cousins, Buster and Marie Jarvis and Pam Byrd; several brothers and sisters in law and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind his two loyal Boston Terriers Bridget and Lil Bit.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the compassion and dedication of Avalon Hospice; especially Kathy Gilliam, Joe and Carol Hamlet and Pam Byrd.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the funeral service at 7:00 with Reverends Lee Ervin and Buster Jarvis officiating.  Graveside services are planned for 11:00 am Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Reverend Joe Hamlet officiating.
