James Lee "Jimmy" Shipman

James Lee “Jimmy” Shipman, 70, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 16, 2019.   He served as a Marine during the Vietnam war and worked throughout the United States as a welder.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Tracy Warren Shipman; father, James Claude Shipman.

He is survived by his mother, Jean H. Shipman of Clyde, NC; sister, Pamela S. Phillips of Clyde, NC; niece, Heather (Tim) Hollingsworth and nephew, Dusty (Pam)Phillips of Canton, NC.

Memorial services are planned for 2:00 pm Monday, December 23, 2019 in the chapel of Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC.  Interment will immediately follow the service.
