James Guy “Jim” Seaver, 74, passed away Friday, May 24, 2018. He graduated from Greeneville High School in 1962. He was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force where he served four years. Jim retired from Philips Consumer Electronics after 43 years of service. He was serving as bookkeeper for Morristown Girls, Inc. He served as the Finance Committee Chairman for Centenary United Methodist Church. Jim loved boating on Cherokee Lake and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Josephine Seaver, and brother-in-law, Bobby Gene Burns.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patricia “Pat” Holloway Seaver; son, Steve Seaver; daughter, Michelle (Randall) Jones; grandchildren, Lauren and Logan Seaver, Jillian, Ethan, and Wyatt Jones; sister, Mary Louise Burns; brothers, Robert Clyde Seaver and John David Seaver; nephews, Mike Burns and David Burns; niece, Lesley Seaver Edens; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 27, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 with the Reverend Bryan Wyke officiating. Processional and Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
