Laura "Opal" (Hopson) Manning

Opal Manning, born October 25, 1930, passed away October 2, 2019 surrounded by her family.  She was a member of Calvue Missionary Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Faye Manning; daughters, Patricia and Phyllis Manning; great grandson, Owen Smith; mother, Maucie Hopson; brothers, Kenneth Hopson and Kenneth Rosenbalm.

She is survived by her children, Wanda (Robert) Trent, Foye (Angie) Manning, Johnny (Gail) Manning, Nishi Simpson, Penny (David) Cody, Tracy Manning, Jeffrey Manning; sister, Irene McMahan; brother, Fate Rosenbalm; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, special friend, Daisy; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, October 4, 2019 at Calvue Missionary Baptist Church located at 1548 Old Liberty Hill Road, Morristown, Tn.  37814.  Funeral services are planned for 2:00 pm Saturday, October 5, 2019 also at Calvue Missionary Baptist Church with Reverends Travis Porterfield, Greg Ellison and David Alder officiating.  Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.  Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice.
