Lonnie Joe Fox

Lonnie Joe Fox, 70, of Morristown, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He loved to be outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping in the woods. Lonnie was known and loved by many as "Pore Man's Sage" for his writings and poetry. Hewas preceded in death by his father, Bud Fox, and brother, Lynn Fox.

Survivors include his children, Rachel (Mike) Webber, Joey Fox, Rebekah (Chris) O’Keefe; five grandchildren; mother, Ida “Jo” Fox; as well as extended family and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm Sunday, November 4, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 4:00 with Pete Higgs officiating.  Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday, November 5, 2018 in Phillipi Cemetery.
