Nell Lawson Obituary

Nell Rose Lawson,87 of Morristown, died Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Systems from a lingering illness.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey E. Lawson; her parents, Kermit McMahan and Zoelena Glasscock McMahan; brothers Conard McMahan, Ogleva “Jeep” McMahan, William “Bill” McMahan, Howard McMahan, Guy “Doc” McMahan, James McMahan, and Willbur McMahan.  She is survived by her sisters Bernice Bewley and Katherine Reed both of Morristown, TN; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Nell was an outgoing kind-hearted person who loved her three dogs: Tiger, Little Bit, and Chrissy.  She had a great love for animals.  She had the pleasure to experience many adventures living in many parts of the World including: England, Thailand, France, Germany, China, and more.  Nell made many great memories and many great friends from her travels.  She was a fiery but loving person that will always be remembered by her many friends and family.

The family would like to thank Heritage Nursing Home, Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Systems, Dr. Cooze, Dr. Ramaprasad, and Dr. Mejia for their excellent care and assistance during Nell’s illness.

The family will receive friend from 1-2pm, Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2pm with Reverend Donnie McNabb officiating.  Interment will follow the funeral services in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
