Paul A Buchanan

Paul A. Buchanan, 55, of Russellville, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly Monday, May 27, 2019.  He was an avid sportsman and loved to play softball, baseball, basketball and fishing.  He was a 1982 graduate of Wilbur Wright High School in Dayton, OH.  He worked for St. Elizabeth Medical Center for 10 years prior to moving to Morristown in 1993.  He was a 25year loyal employee of Lakeway Container. Paul never met a stranger. He was a kind and loving man. He was lovingly called “Poocoo” by his grandchildren who had him wrapped around their fingers.  Paul was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tammy Buchanan; son, Thomas Paul Buchanan; daughter, Christina (Edwin) Clapp; grandchildren, Shelby and Easton Clapp; mother, Bernice Buchanan; brother, Hershell (Teressa) Williams.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Saturday, June 1, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 7:00p.m.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross and/or Samaritan’s Purse to aid those affected by the recent tornadoes in his home town of Dayton, OH.
