Paul “Hi-Pocket’s” Lowell Hollifield, 74. of Whitesburg, went to his heavenly home Saturday, September 22, 2018. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to so many. He was retired from Shelby Williams. Paul was saved as a young boy and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Martha Hollifield; brother, Bill Hollifield and sister, Zella Malone.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda New Hollifield; daughters, Amy (Mark) Gentry of Dandridge and Sheila Hayes of Whitesburg; son, Stacey Smith of Whitesburg; grandchildren, Andrew (Elisa) Carpenter of Knoxville, Megan (Adam) Webb of Rogersville and Dylan Hayes of Bulls Gap; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Fisher, Shelbie and Maggie Webb all of Rogersville; sisters, Betty Baxley, Cora Wilson and Edna Lakins all of Morristown; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his loving best friend, Lynn Smith and his fur companion, Scotty.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to funeral service at 8:00 with Elder Harmon Willis officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 26, in Creech’s Chapel Cemetery in Whitesburg.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Smith, Mike Rhea, Scotty Taylor, Kurt Hall, Ronnie Matthews, Mark Gentry, Andrew Carpenter, Dylan Hayes, Adam Webb, Hunter Webb and Fisher Webb.
