Raymond Sylvester Ziegler “Zig”, 79, died Saturday, April 6, 2019. He was born in Tipton, IN and retired in Bean Station, TN. “Zig” was extremely “handy with his hands” and, never met a stranger. He served in the U.S. Army and was a former deputy sheriff; “Zig” also loved the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Anna Ziegler and a brother, Phillip Ziegler.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharolyn Ziegler and son, Tim (Shannon) Ziegler; grandchildren, Nichole (Kurt) Adair, Sean Ziegler, Cori Lewellyn; great-grandchildren, Makenna Adair, Kolby Adair, Dustin James “DJ” Lewellyn; sisters, Mildred Ziegler, Kathy Williams; brother, Kenneth Ziegler; cousins, Maurice Koors and Sherri Lawson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Jefferson Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care, compassion, and genuine concern shown to not only “Zig” but, his family during this difficult time.
A celebration of life service will be announced in the future.
