Reverend S. “Lee” Campbell, 87, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. He served as a United Methodist Minister in the Holston Conference for 40 years and served at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church for 17 years. He was a longtime member of the noon Rotary Club; board member of ALPS, served as Chaplain for Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Systems, Jefferson Memorial Hospital and Newmarket Fire Dept. Lee loved the Lady Vols and the Atlanta Braves lost one of their best fans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Annie Campbell; brother, Billy Jack Campbell; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Nell Gray; brother-in-law, Bill Keller and nephews, Dan Culp and Randell Sterling Keller.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Campbell; sister, Ernestine Renfro; very special nephews and their families; Robert (Jennifer) Keller, Richard (Latasha) Keller; niece, Teresa (Tim) Byrd; great-nieces and nephews, Kambell and Kennedy Keller, Sterling, Stafford and Stella Rose Keller; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Jack) Goodman.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 8, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Morristown prior to the funeral service at 12:00 with Reverends Ellen Fisher, Tom Ballard and Darris Doyle officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Bethesda Cemetery.
