Roger Lee Kanipe

Roger Lee Kanipe, of Russellville passed away May 9, 2018. 

Roger was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Russellville Baptist Church and studied Revelation extensively.  He was also an avid fisherman.  Roger worked at Mahle for 30 years.  He delighted in aggravating the people he loved. 

Roger was the son of the late Junior and Joyce Kanipe. Survivors include wife of 42 years Margaret Hogan Kanipe, son and daughter-in-law Roger Lee II (Rocky) and Krystal Kanipe; granddaughters Abigail and Maddie Kanipe; brother and sister-in law Jimmy and Mary Kanipe; brother-in-law and sister-in law Steve and Christy Walker; niece Angie Kanipe; nephew Michael (Kristin) Kanipe; nephew Ross Walker; Aunt Florence Terry; Aunt Margaret and Uncle Jim Whaley.   

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 12 from 6-8 pm in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 8:00 with Bishop Rob Hamilton, Reverends Gene Nelson and Dannie Bell officiating.  Burial will be at Hamblen Memory Gardens on Sunday, May 13 at 2pm. 

Pallbearers include Jimmy Kanipe, Josh Pierce, Ross Walker, Michael Kanipe, James Guinn, Tim Rice, and Larry Self.
