Stearl Scott,88, of Morristown, TN, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Systems surrounded by friends and family. He was born November 3, 1930 in Surosa, WV. He was the son of the late Ben and Nancy Scott. He served in combat with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and participated in the landing at Inchon. He worked as the Food Service Manager for 32 years at Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, KY, before retiring in Morristown in 1989. He was also a 50-year Mason and member of lodge #231 F. & A.M. He enjoyed boating, camping, teaching his nieces and nephews to ski, and traveling the world, and all fifty states. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends over a meal.
He was preceded in death by his sister Fern Williamson and brother Forbe Scott.
Survivors include his wife, of 58 years, Della Scott; brother-in-law, Paul Perry of Varney, WV; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Adkins of Lawrenceville, GA and Dorothy Adkins of Danville, WV; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to especially thank Suncrest Home Health, United Medical, Life Care Centers of America, and Regency Retirement Village for all of their support.

The family will receive friends from 12pm to 2pm, Saturday, August 31, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral Services and Masonic Rites will follow at 2pm with Morristown Lodge #231 F& A.M. officiating. Interment and military funeral honors will follow the funeral services in Hamblen Memory Gardens, with honors conducted by VFW Post #5266.
