Thomas Lee Howard, 71, passed away peacefully on July 2nd, and is now safely in the arms of Jesus.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by everyone that knew him. He had a love for music and reading science fiction books. He was a jack of all trades and served his country in the United States Army. Tommy was also a very talented woodcraftsman. Other than spending time with his family, he was happiest working in his shop, listening to records, and spending time with his two dogs, Daisy and Sadie.
He was preceded in death by his God-given mother, Alma Davis, sister, Debbie Davis, brother, Jerry Davis, father and mother-in-law, Hugh G. and Thelma Yount, and brother-in-law, Joe Weston.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Regena Howard, daughters, Lynda LeAnn (Jason) Felknor and Heather McBee, son, Michael Hugh (Tonya) Howard, grandchildren, Kimber (Aaron) McDaniel, Tasha (Joe) Carmack, Collynn McBee, Krista Felknor, and Katie Felknor, God-given sister and brother, Julie (Walter) Russell and Ricky (Donna) Davis, and sister-in-law, Rowena Weston.
He was also survived by the pride and joys of his life, great-granddaughters, Kandi Carmack, Kacee Carmack, and Copeland McDaniel. He loved these three little girls and all his grandchildren dearly.
The family will be having a private funeral service at Allen Funeral Home. A military service and burial will be held on Saturday, July 6th, at 10 a.m., at St. Paul Cemetery in Morristown for anyone who would like to attend. The services will be officiated by Ron Stroud, friend of the family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Flanders and all the staff at Thompson Cancer Survival Center and the Morristown Hamblen Hospital Oncology Unit for the wonderful care they provided to our dad.
