Thomas Edward “Ed” Morris, 68, of Whitesburg, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Life Care Center in Morristown. He was born January 2, 1950 in Cumberland, Ky to Edward and Maxie Smith Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mildred Taylor and husband Ed; Brenda Morris; brother, Kenneth Morris; father-in-law, Pete Ray; and first wife, Christine Holbrook Morris.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Susie Ray Morris; daughters, Shea (Jeremy) Terry, Laurie Moore, Kristie (Mark)Dunlap; grandchildren, Maddox, Collier and Blair Terry, Dylan Farmer, Nathaniel Moore, Carter and Kelly Dunlap; brothers, Luther (Betty) Morris of Florida; Raymond (Shelby) Morris of Georgia; sisters, Wilma (Paul) Gibson of Paris, Ky., Delores (Eugene) Davis of Alexandria, Va., Patricia (Joe) Scopa of Cumberland, Ky.; brother-in-law, Carrol Ray; sister-in-law, Peggy Trent; mother-in-law, Ruth Ray; special nieces and nephews, special friends, Melvin, Maxie and Marvin Greene, Dickie and Terresa Lay, Wayne and Jeanette Yaden, classmates 1968 Cumberland High School.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, October 26, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00 with Reverends Terry Bunch and Sammy Trent conducting the service. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Morris Family Cemetery in Cumberland, Ky.
