Vada Nester

Vada Nester, 79, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 16, 2019.  She was a dedicated Rural letter carrier for the US Postal Service for over 25 years.  She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Nester; parents, Rufus and Garnetta Nester. 

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Elwood Nester; son, Keven (Freda) Nester; grandchildren, Eric (Christy) Nester; Rebekah and Rachael Nester; 2 great-grandchildren, Ethan and Cara Nester of Newman, GA.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Nester also of  Newman GA; sister, Delores (Clarence) Smith of Radford,VA as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service is planned for 7:00 pm Friday, October 18, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home with Reverend Tony Bryant officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bean Station Church of God or First Baptist Church of Morristown, Media Department.

Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
