William “Lyn” Leach, 69, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018. He was born in Knoxville, TN, son to the late Burt and Gladys Leach. He served as a Staff Sargent in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked at American Enka, IPI, and retired from Galbraith Laboratories as a Poly Chemist. He was a member of First Baptist Church, F&AM Lodge #767, the Vietnam Veterans #1073, and enjoyed coaching and watching soccer. Lyn had a wonderful disposition, he never met a stranger, and always saw the glass as half full. He was a loving Husband, a wonderful “Pop”, and proud owner of four fur babies.
Survivors include, his wife of 17 years Sandra Leach; children Jeremy (Amber) Leach, Travis (Erica) Henegar, Traci Henegar, Kimberly (Ben) Helton, and Barbara (Dana) Thompson; grandchildren Anna Beth, Claire, Jonam, Abigail, Alexandra, Anson, Jaylen, Isabella, Elijah, Landon, Katelyn, Emma, Elizabeth, Joseph, and Daniel.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Masonic services conducted by F&AM Lodge 767 will be at 7 pm, with the funeral service following, with Rev. Danny Georges officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:30 am, January 17, at Mountain Home National Cemetery (53 Memorial Avenue, Mountain Home, TN 37684) for a 10:45am Military Graveside service and committal.
