William Earl Moss

William Earl Moss passed on to eternal life on Friday August 17, 2018.  He was born to the late Reverend Jack and Anna Ruth Knight Moss on April 29th, 1948 in Morristown, TN. 

Bill married Kathy Moss on August 14th, 1972, they recently celebrated their 46th wedding Anniversary.  He was a member of Morristown Wesleyan Church.  Bill enjoyed being a dad and papaw; he also enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to gospel music, and watching a good science fiction show.  He loved to fish and loved a willing ear to listen to his many fishing stories.  If Bill was picking on you, you can assure that meant you were one of his favorites.  Bill served in the Army and took pride in his service.  He will truly be missed by many.  

Bill is survived by his wife Kathy; his daughters, Jeannie (Robert) Martinez of New Market, TN, Loria (Bobby) Lee of Bean Station, TN, Mindy (Jason) Johnson of Menomonie, WI, Carrie Byington of Morristown, TN; Bill had 9 grandchildren whom he was enormously proud of: Nicolas, Sair, Alana, Kamden, Kahne, Kassidee, Daijah, Emma, and Anthony.  He is further survived by loving brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. 

Homecoming services will be at 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home with the Reverend Junior Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. prior to the service.  Military Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m Wednesday August 22, 2018 in Hamblen Memorial Gardens.
