Wilma R. Smith, 89, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Joe Smith Jr.; parents, Robert L and Quinnie Russell; brother, Hubert Russell; sister, Hazel Turner; as well as three infant sisters.
Survivors include her children, Cheryl “Sherry”(Allen) Black, Teresa Gail Miller, Larry (Betty) Smith, and Stephen (Kim) Smith; grandchildren, Caroline Sizemore, Kimberly Troup, Angela Lowe, Tiffany Smith, Heather Russell, Robin Hale, Emily Smith-Peavler, and Joshua Smith; fifteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She helped her husband for many years with home contracting; specializing in interior design. She was a member of Witt Baptist Church and also attended Gospel Way Baptist Church in Baileyton, TN for the past eighteen years.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home with Reverend Allen Black officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 prior to the service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
