Ada Jane "Janie" Helton

Ada Jane Helton “Janie”, 85, passed away peacefully December 19, 2020.  She was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist church.  She retired from General Electric and then enjoyed traveling while working for Hallmark.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Fannie Price; sisters, Louise Rednour, Margaret Trent and Lula Bell Orrick.  She is survived by her son Gary (Joyce) Helton; daughter, Peggy (Bobby) Owens; granddaughter, Ashley (Brandon) Givens; sister, Maxie (Marvin) Greene; brothers, Albert Price and Hiram (Jennie) Price; nieces and nephews, her church family and a host of several other friends, neighbors and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services and interment will be 11:00 am Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Reverend David Jones officiating.
