Allie Wilder Obituary

Allie “Imogene” Wilder, 76, of Morristown, went home to be with her Heavenly Father Tuesday, January 11, 2022.  She is at rest after a long illness with Parkinson’s and finally home with her husband Bob whom she missed so desperately.

She was saved at the age of 18 and always loved to sing at church.  She was a long-time member of Northside Missionary Baptist Church where she sang with the Northside Trio for 25 years.  She was a great blessing to so many in her singing especially when she sang “her” song, “O, There’ll be New Grace”.

Imogene truly made an impact on everyone’s life and touched the hearts of many children and families during her 28 years teaching at Head Start.  She loved her job and all the wonderful ladies she worked with.

She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Her smile and laughter were contagious. Imogene loved telling jokes and making others laugh.  She adored her family and will be greatly missed.

Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Wilder; parents, William and Ina Jarnigan; brothers, Junior (Grace) Jarnigan, Hugh, Earl and Fred Jarnigan; sister, Fern Jarnigan and Jessie Boitnott and son-in-law, Wally Frye.

She leaves behind her 2 daughters, Sherry Frye and Debbie (Dewayne) Young; grandchildren, Becky McBee, Alanna McBee (Nick) and Jairus Johns; great-grandchildren Liam and Leighton; brother, Norman (Betty) Jarnigan and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
