Anita Lynn (Lee) Carpenter

Anita L. Carpenter, 81 of Russellville, born October 13, 1941, went home to be with the Lord , Monday, April 24, 2023, at Ft. Sanders (Select Specialty) Medical Center in  Knoxville, surrounded by family.  She professed her faith in Christ at age 12 and was a member of Calvue Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Morristown Rescue Squad Crewettes for 15 years. She retired from Cherokee Health Systems after more than 25 years.  She was a wonderful wife, mom, granny, great granny and was very proud of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Carpenter;  parents, James (Jim) and Rosa Lee, sisters, Wanda Jones, and Linda Talley. 

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy (Kim) Carpenter, Stanley (Gwen) Carpenter, grandchildren Michael Carpenter, Vanessa (Zak) Setser, Allie (Aaron) Ault, Leah (Will) Crawford, Landon (Lynsey) Carpenter, Cory Noe, Zoey Livesay, and Brooklynn Livesay-Carpenter. Great grandchildren, Aiden Jacobs, Easton Carpenter, Willow Setser and Cooper Crawford. Sisters, Peggy Hagwood and Jimmie Lee. Sister-in-law Barbara Sue Turner and brother-in-law, Larry Talley; several nieces and nephews. Special lifelong friend Barbara (Bobbie) Vaughn. 
 

Family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Friday April 28th, at Calvue Baptist Church. Funeral services to follow at 8pm, with Rev. Lee Wayne Grubb and  Bob Zavattieri officiating. Graveside service will be 11am, Saturday, April 29th, at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
