Barbara Ann (Griffith) Ferrell

Barbara A. Griffith Ferrell, 67, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at her home.  She was of the Baptist faith and was saved on Mothers’ Day in 2013. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Spetyla; parents, Melvin and Arlene Griffith Slone; sisters, Zella Shepherd and infant Caroline Griffith; brothers, Elzie Slone, Bud Griffith, Adrian Griffith, Jackie Griffith, Timmy Griffith, and infant David Earl Griffith; step-grandson, Daniel Frederick; nephews, Ricky Thornsberry, Steven Shepherd and Chris Wireman; nieces, Judy Owsley, Crystal Carroll, Courtney Griffith, and infant Kay Owsley; great-nephew, and Mickey Bentley; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Mary Ferrell; 8 brothers-in-law; and 4 sisters-in-law. 

Survivors are her husband of 52 years, Richard Ferrell; daughter, Lisa Stephens; grandchildren, Jesse Gordon, Keeley Bagsby, Jeri Kelly, Ashley Stephens, and Hannah Greene; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Addy, Ava, and Cooper; brother, Elmer Slone; sisters, Marietta Thornsberry and Linda Wireman; 12 nieces; 9 nephews; 7 great nieces; 12 great nephews; 3 aunts; 3 uncles; 7 step-brothers; 4 step-sisters; 1 brother-in-law; 1 sister-in-law; and a host of extended family and cousins.  

The family will receive friends from 12 PM- 2 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 2 PM with the Reverend J.J. Harris officiating.  Interment will be in Hamblen Memory Gardens, following the funeral service.
