Betty Jo (Cross) Anderson

Betty Jo Cross Anderson, 83, of Morristown, passed away at her home Sunday, February 25, 2018 surrounded by her family.   Betty was a member of Holt’s Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda “Joan” Anderson and parents John Henry and Katherine Cross. 

She is survived by her husband, Hugh Anderson; daughters and sons-in-law; Judy Hurst; Karen and Dwight Starnes; Janet and Benny Turner, and Cheryl and Ronnie Holbert; grandchildren & their families, Donald Stuart (Danielle) Hurst and son Jackson; Erin  (Jason) Zimmerman and daughters, Emmy and Sara; Jonathan (Lindsey) Turner and son Knox and daughter Macy; Jessica (Adam) Noe and son Anderson Noe; Jaymie (Antonio) Rusiñol and daughter Sofia Ray; several nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Janine McReynolds; her life-long friend, Drucilla Maddox and children Tad Maddox and Tippi Lynn Maddox Whitehead.  The family would like to express a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00 with Reverend Kenny Cole and Alan Lamb officiating.  Graveside services are planned for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
