Betty Anne Williamson

Betty Anne Williamson, 87, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James E. Williamson, Sr.; parents, James Algae Buckner, Sr. and Merle Anne Wise Buckner; and granddaughter, Hayley Grace Trent.

Betty is survived by her children, James E. (Ted) Williamson, Jr., Susan (Mike) Craig, and Debra (Jason) Brewer; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Barbara Merle Watkins of Virgina; brother, James A. Buckner of North Carolina; furry friend, Red; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Garrison, Amedisys Hospice, and favorite nurse, Emily Daniels.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, November 3, 2025, in Mount Airy United Methodist Church Cemetery.
