Bill Harville Obituary

Bill G. Harville, 87, went peacefully to his heavenly home on May 5, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, lifelong member and Deacon of First Baptist Church Morristown.

Bill was born on April 24, 1936 in Morristown, Tennessee to Troy and Blanche Harville. After joining the military, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Alice (Moore) in 1955 and was assigned to the Army Security Agency, White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

After his service in the military, they returned to Morristown where Bill was employed at Berkline, American Enka Company (later BASF), and the Tennessee State Library and Archives.  As a passionate history buff he greatly enjoyed his time working for the State Archives. He was also co-owner of The Nest Antiques and Gifts, where he and his wife enjoyed continually adding to, and renovating the circa 1900 building with vintage finds from their many travels. Additionally, he had his own real estate agency and was a licensed Auctioneer, making many wonderful friends throughout his life and career. He loved spending time with his family, pets, traveling, and playing the guitar.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and brother David Harville. He is survived by his wife Mary Alice (Moore); his daughter Kelly Harville; his son Keith Harville (Kim); grandson Christopher Daudet (Michelle) and great grandchildren Emily and Jaxon.

A graveside service conducted by Pastor Dean Haun will be held at 2PM Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Hamblen Memory Gardens (Apostles Garden).
