Bonnie Jo (Johnson) Jarnagin

Bonnie Jo Jarnagin, 82 went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home Monday, January 23, 2023.  She was a longtime member of Roe Junction Baptist Church in Morristown.  For many years, she played shortstop for recreation league softball. Bonnie was an adult caregiver for several years and an avid Josh Turner fan.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William “Bill” Jarnagin; daughter, Barbara Lane and infant daughter, Sandra Jarnagin; ten brothers and sisters, and son-in-law, Don Warner.

She is survived by her children, Delores (Sidney) Stidham of Florida, Terry (Hayden) Futrell, Tony Jarnagin, Rosalee Warner, and Michael Jarnagin; grandchildren, Jason and Jeremy Stidham, Jennifer Burroughs, Amanda Turner, Scott Shiflett, Ashley Patty, Kandice Green, Jacqueline Ballanger, Chad and Skyler Jarnagin, Stephanie Simpson, Jessica Warner, Derek and Dylan Jarnagin, and Brandi Greene; 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; special grandson, Bo Simpson; special granddaughters, Michelle Bowlin, Kelesie Cotner, and Shannon Jarnagin; nurse, Katie Smith; and special friend, Catey Laura Bishop.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00pm Thursday, January 26, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00pm with Reverend Aiden “Junior” Sexton officiating.  Graveside services are planned for 2:00pm Friday, January 27, 2023, in Roe Junction Baptist Church Cemetery.
