Cecil Ronald Ward

Cecil Ronald Ward (Sgt. First Class-Ret.) passed away at his home Saturday, April 30, 2022.  He was retired from both the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam and Desert Storm, and Boldor Dodge in Rogersville.  He was a member of Dover Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder and Deacon. 

He was preceded in death by parents Earl and Ruby Ward of Rogersville; and brothers Herman, Wayne, and Paul Ward, all of Rogersville.  

Cecil leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia Parrish Ward of Morristown; daughters, Melissa (Rusty) Lawson of Morristown, and Michelle (Eric) Miller of Russellville; grandchildren Paytn (Zach) Williford of Maryville, Paxtyn Lawson of Morristown, and Caden and Cooper Miller, both of Russellville; sisters JoAnn (Ronald) Ward of Greeneville and Judy Whorton of Mosheim; Brother Carroll (Brenda) Ward of South Bloomfield, OH; a host of extended family and friends, all of whom he loved dearly. 

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Monday, May 2, 2022 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Scott and Rev. Larry Miller officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM  prior to the service. Military graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM  in the veterans section of Hamblen Memory Gardens.
