Charlie DeMonbreun, 63, of Morristown, TN passed away at his home on September 21, 2023.
Charlie grew up in Morristown, TN as the youngest of five siblings, and found his love for masonry and music early in life. He was a successful brick mason for almost 30 years, until he had an accident that prevented large-scale projects, but he continued to be a hard worker throughout his life. He played guitar in his free time and was part of a garage band for many years. He loved rock n roll; the blues was his favorite genre. He could talk for hours about his idol, Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Charlie was a social butterfly, and never met a stranger. Anyone who knew him, knew him for his big smile, heartly laugh, and love for life and the people in his.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Robin DeMonbreun; mother, Jean DeMonbreun; father, Leonard DeMonbreun; sister, Ronnye DeMonbreun, and brother, Leo DeMonbreun.
He is survived by his children; Aimee DeMonbreun, Cora Achey-DeMonbreun (Olivia), and Adam Cox (Shauna); grandchildren, Ally Quackenbush, Amelia and Thayer Ramos-DeMonbreun, Cambria Patterson, and Maisyn Cox; sister, Carol DeMonbreun; brother, Mark (Debbie) DeMonbreun; former wife and lifelong friend, Karen Penney, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life at his home 2:00 pm Saturday, September 30, 2023. It will be a potluck dinner, and we ask that you bring a recipe for your dish, so we can make a cookbook to commemorate the event. Contact the family for the address.
